GLOBE not only delivers technological advances of its own, but also supports new hardware technology such as bottom classification systems. Bottom classification systems work with depth sounders to identify the bottom type at your vessel's location.

Once the bottom type has been determined, GLOBE can display a running depth profile colored by bottom type or depth, like the one shown above.
GLOBE track lines can also be colored by bottom type, depth, or surface temperature.
