GLOBE's chart view window is the core of the entire application.
Several views can be open at once, each with its own settings.
For example, one view can be following the vessel while in another view you are planning your voyage. GLOBE stores all its charts in a seamless format, which means there are no more charts to switch through, and adjacent chart data is displayed automatically. |

Vector charts have many advantages over the raster charts used by other navigation packages.
Vector charts require much less memory which translates into faster display speeds, better quality and other features that are impossible with raster charts. The chart view on the left shows how each contour line can be given an individual color based on its depth. Other advantages of vector charts include depth based highlighting and visibility. |
