All depth based coloring in GLOBE is handled by the elevation color bar. The color bar can automatically generate contour ranges at user-selected intervals, or be completely customized with multiple color ranges.

The elevation color bar allows ranges both above and below sea level, so sea level can be easily distinguished in both 3D and 2D vector charts.
